Job description

Overview

Interest Brands is looking for a Senior Director, Product who can combine a passion for creating innovative products with a user-centered design, business acumen to identify and drive product goals, and the technical capacity to interface with engineers. The ideal candidate is strategic, data-driven, creative, and business savvy, with the drive to contribute to discovering what will delight clients and the ability to lead both back-end technical and front-end user experience projects with deep customer empathy.

The Internet Brands Product Team hires courageous, passionate PMs who set big goals and execute on them. We help you grow and challenge you with hard, meaningful work. We celebrate our successes and learn from our failures together. We value and develop strong leadership, asking our PMs to take on ambitious and often ambiguous projects that promise to extend our lead in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Own the vision, roadmap and execution for various products. This can include working on UI/UX experiences, API experiences, data science models, data engineering pipelines and more.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in other organizations, while also displaying the ability to show up senior in frequent executive forums.
  • Interface with stakeholders across our UX/UI, Business Intelligence, Data Science, and Engineering Teams helping think through trade-offs in workflow implementations, visualizations, model approaches, and customer impact.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to drive decision-making, test hypotheses, and execute A/B testing to enhance our products. Define KPIs and metrics to measure the success of your initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and user behavior to inform product enhancements that keep Internet Brands competitive.
  • Create and maintain product use cases, requirements, and wireframes.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS required, HCI, Computer Science, or MBA a plus.
  • 7+ years of product experience with a sustained track record of contributing to impactful projects.
  • A sustained track record of self-directed, end-to-end contributions to large software projects.
  • Experience building complex products that require multiple iterations over years.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills in both large and small group settings.
  • Ability to solve complex, technical problems with creative solutions while managing tradeoffs.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and data-based arguments to drive progress.
  • Durability and grit to pursue multiple approaches until the right answer is found.
  • Ability to write detailed specifications and vision documents that articulate the problem and the rationale behind the solution.
