JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Office Assistant
Company: Northern Berkshire Transport
Position Type: Full-Time (40 Hours per Week)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (times may vary)

Position Summary

Northern Berkshire Transport is seeking a dependable and organized Office Assistant to support daily administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced office environment while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Process and maintain paperwork and office records
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain databases
  • Assist with billing and invoicing tasks
  • Coordinate and manage scheduling activities
  • Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers and clients
  • Support general office operations and administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with email and spreadsheets
  • Strong telephone and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Professional, friendly, and customer-focused demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to drive a full-size van, midsize minivan, and SUV
  • Preferred experience in the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) industry, but not required

REQUIREMENTS 

1. Must comprehend, and comply with, the NEMT Transportation Employee Handbook, and performance standards.

2. Exceed minimum age requirement of 18years.

3. Must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver’s license, and provide a current DMV printout.

5. Pass a mandatory preemployment drug and alcohol screening.

6. Must pass a mandatory criminal background test.

8. CPR certification.
