Position Overview

The Inner Fire Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals and families through their mental health journeys. This remote position allows for flexibility while working conveniently from your home, delivering high-quality telehealth services to our outpatient clients.

Work Environment

This role is conducted entirely via telehealth services, allowing for a dynamic and adaptable work setting. Our center operates from Monday to Saturday, providing a schedule that promotes work-life balance while ensuring that our clients receive the support they need at their convenience. With our state-of-the-art telehealth platform, you will have the tools needed to effectively engage with clients, conduct assessments, and deliver therapeutic interventions seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial comprehensive psychosocial assessments for individuals, adolescents, and families to gather critical information to inform treatment planning.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
• Maintain continuous communication with clients and their families regarding their treatment plan and progress through ongoing clinical assessments and adjustments.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with departmental standards, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Provide case management services that involve collaboration with external healthcare professionals and community resources to optimize client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele ranges from adolescents facing transitional challenges to adults and families navigating complex life issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and trauma. As a Mental Health Counselor at Inner Fire, you will be instrumental in facilitating change and healing, employing an empathetic and client-centered approach tailored to meet diverse psychological and emotional needs.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of New York is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is essential.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred for advanced clinical practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth delivery is a plus, as is familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency in clinical interventions specific to varied populations, particularly those experiencing trauma or severe mental health issues.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement engaging treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials.
