Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for couples and families.
• Providing therapy for individuals and groups, focusing on a wide range of issues such as grief, job-related stress, blended family dynamics, and communication challenges.
• Facilitating sessions that address conflicts among family members, including issues of separation and divorce, blended family integration, and interpersonal conflicts.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and approaches to guide clients toward recovery and improved mental health.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Building and fostering therapeutic relationships that promote trust and collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve adults, adolescents, and families facing a variety of mental health concerns, from substance abuse to behavioral issues and traumatic experiences. By specializing in family therapy, you will empower clients to achieve personal and relational growth, improving overall familial dynamics and emotional health.

Qualifications

• Current, active license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Jersey.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related clinical discipline.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated expertise in family therapy and a commitment to providing empathetic patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations and addressing issues relevant to family systems.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital documentation systems.
• Background in crisis intervention and conflict resolution strategies.
• Flexible availability to accommodate client scheduling and needs.

Compensation and Benefits
