Position Overview

ProActive Therapy Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team in Bakersfield, California. In this full-time role, you will provide on-site care in home environments, helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. Your expertise will be vital in shaping individualized treatment plans and supporting our mission to enhance the quality of life for our patients.

About the Organization

At ProActive Therapy Centre, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture that promotes mutual respect, collaboration, and innovation among our staff. Our commitment to providing high-quality therapy extends beyond individual care; we actively engage in educating the next generation of healthcare professionals while staying at the forefront of medical advancements through continuous research and improvement. Our outpatient clinics serve diverse populations, enabling our therapists to have a profound impact on community health.

Work Environment

This position is ideal for a Physical Therapist looking to thrive in a home care setting. Working onsite allows for personalized interactions with patients in the comfort of their own homes, facilitating a unique connection and tailored support. Our team of healthcare professionals collaborates closely, ensuring that each therapist has the resources and backing needed to deliver exceptional care while managing flexible schedules within a Monday to Friday workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess a patient’s physical condition through detailed analyses of medical history and specific assessments, ultimately determining appropriate treatment plans.
  • Communicate evaluation findings effectively to patients and their families, involving them in the goal-setting process to foster a collaborative approach to rehabilitation.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient’s individual needs and the evolving landscape of healthcare best practices.
  • Consult with interdisciplinary healthcare teams as necessary, recognizing when changes in a patient’s condition require adjustments to the care plan or referrals to specialists.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care, ensuring thorough documentation of all patient interactions, evaluations, plans of care, and progress throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations while maintaining accurate documentation and scheduling.
  • Contribute actively to departmental goals and initiatives, engaging in quality improvement and compliance with local and national regulations.
  • Take initiative in professional development, attending relevant training and acting as a mentor for aspiring therapists and students.
  • Enhance patient experience through adaptability and responsiveness to needs and preferences, striving to remove barriers to care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists work primarily with individuals recovering from post-surgical conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, and geriatric patients. This diverse patient demographic presents an opportunity to apply advanced therapeutic techniques tailored to varying diagnoses and rehabilitation journeys, ultimately resulting in improved patient mobility, strength, and independence.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure in the state of California as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Preferred Experience
  • While prior work experience in physical therapy is not mandatory, one year of supervised clinical experience is preferred to ensure readiness to provide effective patient care.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, complemented by a robust benefits package. Employees enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and access to wellness programs. We also prioritize your professional growth through continuing education opportunities, encouraging you to expand your skills and expertise.
