Job description

Position assists the Operation Manager with daily operations activities in the assigned regional area. Assists in oversight of assets, provides leadership support to operations group and supports management of raw materials in the region of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the care, cleanliness, and condition of all operation related assets. This includes but not limited to plants, equipment, offices, etc.
  • Helps coordinate customer orders, scheduling, and dispatching.  May coordinate customer orders through a central dispatch location.
  • Assist the plant manager in managing inventory levels of raw materials.  Ensures deliveries are placed in the proper storage areas and clearly labeled.  Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly inventories for future reference.
  • When needed, responsible for batching concrete, utilizing the proper mix design and ensuring the product is loaded properly.
  • Assist  plant managers in monitoring daily driver's hours and ensure DOT Logs are maintained as needed by required regulations.  Assists in monitoring operator weekly hours and assists with managing overtime.
  • Demonstrates and communicates a high standard of customer service by working with onsite plant personnel, mixer operators, central dispatch, quality control and sales group.
  • Ensures that all onsite safety practices and procedures are followed and maintained.
  • Assist with investigating accidents and completing incident reports.
  • Assist with the hiring, employee relations, coaching, and discipline of team members.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum of (3) years operation related experience and minimum of (2) years supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • High School diploma, or G.E.D is required
  • Must be safety oriented and experienced with OSHA regulations.
  • Strong and effective communicator with ability to support management of implementing and adapting to change
  • Excellent leadership skills with ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Computer skills in G-Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL.
  • Must be willing to reside within the area of responsibility.
  • Spanish speaking or bilingual a plus
