We are currently seeking a Reservoir Engineering Technician II for the Dallas, TX office which covers operations for all activities worldwide. 

Position Summary:

This position will provide technical and administrative support to engineers and office staff.  The candidate will need to be flexible to adapt to changing priorities, work in a fast-paced environment and able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and administrative support to engineers and office staff.  
    • Possess a general understanding of terminology and procedures used within production forecasting, operating and capital expenses, reserves reporting, and typical marketed M&A process data. 
  • Analyzes information requests from technical personnel and works to achieve the best solutions with guidance when needed.
  • Able to identify solutions to resolve issues related to software and data management with the ability to interface with the appropriate corporate software database administrator.
  • Assist with QA/QC of reserves database updates, internal economics and production reporting, and technical presentations.
  • Collect and aggregate data into useable formats for forecasting, analysis, and reporting.

Required Skills:

  • General working knowledge of spreadsheets and reserves database software (Aries) in addition to MS Office
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical ability
  • Self-motivated and accountable for individual responsibilities 
  • Work effectively in a team environment 
  • Prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Work to meet deadlines 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good organizational awareness
  • Spotfire experience isn't required but is a plus
  • Be service-oriented and professional in conduct, attitude, and appearance 
  • Exposure to AI-assisted tools for data analysis, reporting, and document preparation, with sound judgment in validating outputs and maintaining data accuracy.

Required Experience: 

  • High school diploma required
  • College or vocational degree strongly preferred in oil and gas production or related industry
  • Requires a minimum of 3+ years in a technical support role or equivalent training in upstream oil and gas or related industry.
