Lead Quality Operations in a Precision Electronics Manufacturing Environment

Our client, a leading player in the electronics manufacturing industry, is seeking a results-driven Quality Supervisor to lead and advance their quality assurance function. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, UL certifications, and customer-specific quality requirements.

If you're a hands-on quality leader with a strong foundation in electronics manufacturing, this role offers the opportunity to influence and optimize production standards within a supportive and high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001, UL, and client-specific requirements.

  • Lead UL certification processes (e.g., UL 94, UL 508A) for components and final products.

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness and continuous improvement.

  • Supervise inspection processes for printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic assemblies, and precision sheet metal parts.

  • Manage quality documentation: work instructions, control plans, compliance records, and audit logs.

  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

  • Track and analyze key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, yields, returns) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience in electronics manufacturing, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and UL certifications (UL 94, UL 508A).

  • Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600) and RoHS compliance.

  • Experience inspecting precision sheet metal and interpreting technical drawings.

  • Proficiency in root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or similar professional certifications

  • Experience with ERP and QMS software systems

  • Background in high-reliability or mission-critical electronics environments
