In this integral position, you will focus on providing high-quality therapy to individuals managing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. The work you do will center around enhancing relational dynamics within families, relationships, and couples to foster peace and understanding.

About the Organization

At Safe Horizon Recovery Facility, we are dedicated to transforming lives and fostering healthier communities. Our mission emphasizes equity in healthcare, addressing barriers that marginalized populations face in accessing quality mental health and substance use treatment. Based in Salinas, California, we utilize innovative telehealth solutions to reach individuals needing support, irrespective of their location. Our commitment to diversity and sustainability is at the heart of our operations, ensuring everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity for a healthier life.

Work Environment

This is a full-time remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own space while maintaining a flexible schedule. You will be utilizing telehealth platforms proven to enhance patient engagement and therapeutic outcomes, contributing to a forward-thinking approach to mental health care. You will be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, collaborating closely with fellow professionals to provide the highest level of support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions via telehealth, actively engaging clients through chosen therapeutic modalities.
  • Conduct initial assessments and continuous evaluations to monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that address the specific needs of clients, incorporating evidence-based practices and feedback from multilateral discussions with other team members.
  • Actively participate in collaborative team meetings to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care, sharing insights and strategies related to client therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily supports individuals grappling with substance abuse issues alongside mental health disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other related conditions. You will be tasked with creating a safe and supportive environment that encourages clients to express their concerns and explore pathways to recovery and wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Possession of a current, valid license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Science as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
  • Documentation confirming that the applicant holds a license that is not under suspension or probation status must be provided.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical experience, preferably with an emphasis on substance use disorders and mental health, is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a telehealth setting, utilizing digital platforms for effective client engagement and therapy delivery.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and an understanding of holistic approaches to treatment.
Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, you will benefit from:

  • Comprehensive health insurance, including behavioral health support.
  • Generous paid time off and holiday benefits.
  • Retirement savings plans with company contributions.
  • Student loan repayment assistance and opportunities for tuition reimbursement.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Safe Horizon Recovery Facility, we invest in your professional development. Our continuing education programs are designed to enhance your clinical skills, with potential pathways for advancement into leadership roles within our organization. You will be encouraged to pursue specialized certifications and partake in ongoing training to further enrich your expertise and impact within the mental health community.
