POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Public Relations Manager your roles and responsibilities will include:

The client is seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager to lead and strengthen the company's external communications strategy. This highly visible role is responsible for enhancing and protecting client's brand reputation through strategic media relations, crisis communications, executive messaging, and compelling corporate storytelling. The successful candidate will collaborate across business units to develop scalable public relations processes and elevate client's profile in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client's current external communications and media presence, identifying opportunities to improve visibility, consistency, and brand messaging.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy aligned with corporate objectives and brand identity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and key media outlets.
  • Pitch stories that showcase Moog's people, products, technologies, and business achievements.
  • Draft and edit press releases, media statements, executive talking points, speeches, and other external communications.
  • Lead crisis communications planning and execution, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent messaging during high-pressure situations.
  • Create scalable PR tools, templates, approval workflows, and reporting processes for use across a global organization.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Human Resources, business leaders, and executive leadership to ensure alignment of messaging across all communication channels.
  • Prepare executives for media interviews and public engagements by developing messaging and coaching materials.
  • Monitor media coverage, evaluate PR effectiveness, and recommend strategies to strengthen the company's public profile.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Public Relations Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Public Relations Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in public relations, corporate communications, or external communications.
  • Experience developing and executing PR strategies for large or global organizations.
  • Strong crisis communications and reputation management experience.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining media relationships.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or engineering industries.
  • Experience supporting executive communications and leadership messaging.
  • Familiarity with global communications strategies and cross-functional collaboration.
We understand that even if you are a seasoned Public Relations Manager, you may not have all the skills listed here.
