Title: QA/QC Manager – Data Center Construction


Location: Amarillo, TX
Travel: Up to 100% (Site-Based)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $140,000 - $190,000 annually, based on experience


Summary


Company is seeking two experienced QA/QC Managers to support large-scale mission-critical data center construction projects in Amarillo, Texas. This position provides leadership for the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program, ensuring all construction activities meet project specifications, applicable codes, owner requirements, and industry standards. The QA/QC Manager will oversee quality processes from design review through commissioning and project turnover while leading multidisciplinary QA/QC teams and serving as the primary quality liaison with project stakeholders.


Job Description


  • Lead and manage the project QA/QC program.
  • Develop and maintain Project Quality Plans (PQP), inspection plans, procedures, and reporting standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, owner requirements, and industry standards.
  • Establish quality metrics and monitor project performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop QA/QC specialists and inspectors.
  • Oversee daily field inspections, testing, punch lists, and commissioning activities.
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality documentation.
  • Review Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation and equipment quality.
  • Coordinate with commissioning teams, project management, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Serve as the primary QA/QC contact for owners, contractors, designers, and third-party inspectors.
  • Prepare executive quality reports and turnover documentation.
  • Identify quality risks and support recovery plans as needed.
  • Assist with vendor qualification and quality performance monitoring.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • Professional certifications such as CQM-C, CCM, CCP, PMP, LEED AP, or ASQ certifications are highly preferred.


Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of construction QA/QC experience.
  • At least 5 years supporting mission-critical, data center, or complex commercial/industrial construction.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct MEP quality control experience.
  • At least 3 years supervising QA/QC teams.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, commissioning processes, and quality management programs.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Cx Alloy, Aconex, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.


Working Conditions

  • Up to 100% travel to project sites.
  • Ability to work in active construction environments.
  • Must be available for occasional night and weekend commissioning and testing activities.
  • Extended hours may be required during critical project phases.
