Position Overview

The Highmark Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is essential in providing top-notch mental health services, fostering emotional well-being, and aiding individuals and families on their journey to personal development. We pride ourselves on offering tailored support, ensuring that our clients receive transformative care in the comfort of their own homes.

About the Organization

Highmark Behavioral Health Center is committed to bridging the gap in mental health services for communities in need. Our organization emphasizes a holistic approach, focusing on the unique needs of each client. We believe that every individual deserves access to quality mental health care, which is why we provide an extensive range of therapeutic services designed to accommodate those with limited access to traditional in-person options.

Work Environment

As a part of our telehealth initiative, you will be working in a fully remote setting, utilizing modern technology to connect with clients. This environment offers flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to manage your schedule while delivering impactful services. You will work with a supportive team of mental health professionals, all devoted to enhancing the quality of care provided to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to understand clients' unique challenges and mental health needs.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans that employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, providing support and guidance to participants in a safe and constructive setting.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for clients, sharing insights and strategies to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  • Document all client interactions meticulously, including treatment plans, progress notes, and evaluation outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals and families facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and substance use issues. Your expertise will be vital in providing care to those who have low access to mental health resources, ensuring they receive the necessary support to navigate their difficulties.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Hold an active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting, is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization or experience in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telehealth delivery models and remote therapy practices is an advantage.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. Additionally, you will benefit from increased client referrals, reducing the pressure of client acquisition. Our administrative team will assist you with billing and documentation, allowing you to focus primarily on therapy and client relationships.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Highmark Behavioral Health Center, we prioritize professional development and provide numerous opportunities for growth. As part of our commitment to your career trajectory, we offer access to continuing education resources, specialized training workshops, and a chance to participate in leadership programs. You will also have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities within the organization, expanding your skill set and professional influence.

Why Join Our Team
