With a salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, you will have the opportunity to impact lives positively as we work together towards achieving personal growth and emotional resilience.

About the Organization

Highland Rivers Counseling Center is more than a mental health treatment provider; we are a community committed to transforming lives through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. Our organization thrives on innovation and a startup mentality, focusing on progress and deep personal understanding to create lasting changes in our clients' lives. Guided by our core values—service orientation, integrity, partnership, courage, passion, and accessibility—we aim not only to support individuals in their mental health journey but also to empower them to realize their potential.

Our telehealth facility offers a safe space where clients can engage in therapy sessions in the comfort of their own environment. We prioritize flexibility, offering standard working hours Monday through Friday, ensuring that you will not be expected to work evenings or weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Therapeutic Facilitation: You will lead engaging group therapy sessions that foster peer support and shared experiences among young adults, enabling them to learn from one another and build a sense of community.
  • Individual Counseling: Through personalized therapy, you will assist clients in exploring their personal challenges, providing empathetic support, and developing effective coping strategies tailored to their unique situations.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborating with clients, you will create individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, needs, and preferences, ensuring a client-centered approach to their mental health journey.
  • Progress Evaluation: You will regularly assess client progress through various feedback mechanisms and assessment tools to ensure that treatment remains effective and relevant, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: You will coordinate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, sharing insights and strategies to deliver comprehensive care to each client.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on young adults between the ages of 18 and 30, who may be dealing with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and feelings of isolation. By utilizing evidence-based practices, you will facilitate their recovery journey, helping them to achieve sustainable change and develop resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in New Jersey.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of evidence-based mental health practices and treatment methodologies.
  • Ability to establish rapport and connect with diverse client backgrounds, demonstrating compassion and understanding in your approach.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in mental health treatment, particularly with young adults.
  • Experience in facilitating both group and individual therapy sessions.
  • Familiarity with telehealth tools and the ability to engage effectively in a virtual environment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. This package includes health insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plans, and opportunities for continued education and professional development.
