Our work setting is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to perform your duties from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of our dedicated team. This setup not only promotes work-life balance but also aligns with our goal of expanding access to mental health resources, particularly during times when in-person visits may not be feasible.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Highland Rivers, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging group therapy sessions that foster a supportive environment where clients can share experiences and learn from each other.
  • Individual Counseling: Provide tailored one-on-one therapy to help clients explore their emotions, cope with challenges, and develop effective coping strategies.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their goals and address their mental health needs.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document client progress using various therapeutic tools and feedback mechanisms.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, coordinating activities and consulting on complex cases to enhance client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your work will be with young adults aged 18 to 30, who may be navigating complex emotional and psychological challenges. You will play a significant role in helping them achieve recovery through evidence-based practices and holistic approaches in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Your work will not only transform lives but also foster a supportive community where every client can thrive.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in New Jersey.
  • At least two years of clinical experience working in mental health treatment settings.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care will be highly regarded. Experience working with diverse populations and varied mental health issues will also strengthen your application.

The compensation for this rewarding position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Generous paid time off and holidays.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities, including support for continuing education (CEUs).
  • Free clinical supervision to help you maintain your licensure and enhance your skills.
