Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' mental health needs, employing a variety of assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs that set clear therapeutic goals aligned with the client's unique challenges.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatric staff, to ensure holistic client care and address co-occurring disorders.
  • Engage and educate clients' families, providing essential support as they navigate the healing process alongside their loved ones.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with federal and state regulations as well as ethical standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families seeking assistance with mental health challenges, including relationship issues, communication barriers, and systemic family dynamics. You will play a pivotal role in helping clients develop effective coping strategies, improve interpersonal relationships, and achieve long-term recovery through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster a safe and trusting therapeutic environment for clients.
  • A strong sense of empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients, promoting resilience and healing.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage your caseload and administrative responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations and a strong understanding of cultural competency in therapy.
  • Background in providing evidence-based treatment modalities, such as CBT, DBT, or family systems therapy.
  • Previous participation in training or workshops focused on advanced therapeutic techniques and mental health challenges.
