Job description

Position Overview

Heluna Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and driven Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide high-quality mental health services remotely. This role is pivotal in supporting individuals and families experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. As a professional counselor, you will utilize your expertise to foster emotional well-being and personal development among clients, contributing to improved mental health outcomes.

About the Organization

At Heluna Behavioral Health, we are dedicated to bridging the gap in mental health care for underserved populations. Our team of experienced specialists is devoted to delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to those with limited access to mental health resources. We value inclusivity, empathy, and professionalism, ensuring that all individuals receive the care they need in a supportive environment.

Work Environment

This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to balance your professional responsibilities with your personal life effectively. The Outpatient Office environment emphasizes a collaborative approach, where you will engage with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for diverse client needs. Our organization supports a culture of continuous improvement and professional development, encouraging counselors to grow within their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to develop individualized therapy strategies tailored to their unique needs.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy for individuals, groups, and families.
  • Maintain accurate and updated clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—which may include psychiatrists, social workers, and psychologists—to deliver holistic care and optimize client outcomes.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health research and techniques.
  • Create a welcoming and supportive environment for clients, ensuring they feel safe and respected throughout their therapy journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele at Heluna Behavioral Health comprises a diverse group of individuals and families who may be facing significant mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. This role is instrumental in reaching people who have historically had low access to care, providing them with the necessary support and guidance they deserve.

Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Experience in effectively collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance client care.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and related technologies.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma therapy, or substance abuse treatment is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with underserved populations and understanding of their unique challenges would be an asset.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges between USD 70,000 and 90,000 yearly, depending on experience and caseload availability. In addition to competitive salary, we offer:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance to support your well-being.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage, providing you with peace of mind.
  • A generous sign-on bonus for eligible candidates joining our team, further reflecting our investment in quality talent.
  • Access to resources for client referrals, helping you build your caseload efficiently.
  • Support with billing administrative tasks to allow you to focus more on client care.
