Job description

Position Summary
Responsible for support to Human Resources Manager to provide continuous improvement to all Human Resources functions. Assists with cross training of staff on key human resource functions.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Assist the Human Resources Manager on special projects and time-sensitive requests.
  • Assist the other Human Resources Generalists in the coordination of the general human resource functions that best fit Hamilton Center, Inc. goals and objectives.
  • Retrieves and analyzes data from the HRIS system to Yes, provide supervisors with reports as it relates to recruitment and retention. Works to integrate HRIS and HR Department needs.
  • Responds to employee questions, concerns and grievances to ensure resolution in a timely manner in conjunction with Human Resources Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Staff and Chief Executive Officer.
  • Reviews and communicates policy updates related to recruitment, retention and employee relations in conjunction with HR Representatives.
  • Generate HRIS reporting and retrieval of PC data as required.
  • Serve as back up for General Orientation and assigned trainings (such as CPR/First Aid/AED, HCI Commitment to Quality, CPI, etc.)
  • Provide customer and HR support to designated departments within your assigned Division(s) with all generalist activities (i.e. FMLA, exit interviews, hiring, benefits, complaint procedures, PES processing, discipline).
  • Active role in HR core duty or support area audits as required.
  • Visit assigned support sites at least three times monthly.
  • Monitor and report on assigned HR budget information.
  • Coordinate PES payouts for your assigned division(s).
  • Participate in job-specific duty cross training with other HR Representatives, including recruitment and training.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field required.
  • And two to three years of professional experience in a human resource staff role or equivalent knowledge or educational background.
  • Or 6 years of Human Resources experience
  • Specific experience in most HR disciplines (Benefits, Payroll, Staff Development amp; Training, and Recruitment).
  • Proficiency in major business systems is a must.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities as well as think and act independently when asked to handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a varied audience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and follow-up skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Actively pursuing professional certification SPHR, PHR, CCP or CEBS.
  • Valid Driver’s License in accordance with HCI motor vehicle policy.

Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
Work Environment
Most of the work is done in a pleasant environment sitting at a desk or computer terminal. There are many interruptions that require getting up and down for filing, copying and working in different work areas.
Conditions of Employment
  • Completion of tuberculin screening no later than three days prior to first day of employment and annually thereafter
  • Completion of MMR, Varicella, influenza and coronavirus vaccine
  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screening and completion of post-employment drug or alcohol tests upon reasonable suspicion of use.
  • Completion of Center-wide orientation and ALL required paperwork prior to reporting for work
  • Demonstrate computer literacy through successful completion of pre-employment testing
  • Completion of HCI Quality training, Trauma Informed Care and HealthStream.
  • Successful completion of New Employee Department Checklist within 90 days of employment
  • Attendance at all mandatory staff development and training
  • Successful completion of a six-month on-the-job orientation period
  • Successful completion of Annual PES
  • Adherence to all policies, procedures, rules and regulations set forth by Hamilton Center, Inc.
  • Participation in payroll electronic deposit
  • Adherence to Compliance Program Plan
  • Satisfactory reference and background investigation checks.
