Position Summary
Position Summary
The Marketing / Culture Specialist works to establish a progressive vision for organizational culture that promotes excellence. The Specialist provides a link between referral sources and Hamilton Center in a defined geographic area. The position develops new accounts and maintains existing accounts to increase the referral base (clients served) of target market(s) and referral satisfaction. The position implements the philosophy, policies, procedures, systems and strategic goals set forth by the management team while maximizing the highest level of customer service to assigned referral sources. Essential areas of support will include strategic planning, training, community relations, policy development, and programs
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain current referral information.
• Assist the organization in establishing trust as a strategic thought leader, influencer, and change agent responsible for implementing people’s initiatives and cultural change across all departments.
• With consultation and coordination with clinical staff, managers, and others, make routine sales calls, take part in community and corporate events, and initiate other vehicles to reach external customers.
• Investigate and be aware of changes in the external environment and behavioral health industry through professional development, education, peer interaction and professional/community involvement.
• Have knowledge of Hamilton Center’s programs and services by geographic location and division - constantly keep updated on changes in services.
• Have a clear understanding of Hamilton Center’s target market(s) in each area served
• Participate in all Business Development meetings and relevant team/clinical meetings as agreed upon by the Executive Director of Marketing and Clinical Leadership to aid in coordination of activities.
• Timely completion of all required reports of activity to Supervisor.
• Support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives for the corporation
• Keep current on diversity and inclusion developments and trends, using that knowledge in support of corporation wide training.
• Initiate events designed to attract and educate referral sources and consumers, i.e., community events, health fairs, breakfasts, etc.
• Initiate tours, public speaking events and other outreach opportunities to promote services and programs.
• Exhibit understanding, sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences; oversee the creation and implementation of programs that build momentum for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Provides collaboration with participants, physical and behavioral health care providers to improve participate health status and to assist participants in identifying and overcoming barriers that interfere with achieving health-related goals.
• Conducts community outreach and education to raise awareness about the health insurance coverage exchange to assist consumers in enrollment options.
• Provide education, reinforcement and frequent communication with consumers to encourage, support and assist them in managing and improving their primary and behavioral health care.
• Complete Community education in relation to Consumer Representative Specialist expertise.
• Measure and forecast diversity metrics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Some job-related duties are performed beyond the normal work hours and days.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field or related experience
• Minimum of two years’ experience in health care business development, marketing, or relevant field. Knowledge of behavioral health is preferred
• Must possess excellent written and verbal skills
• Must be able to maintain professional rapport with all stakeholders
• Willingness to use personal transportation in work capacity
• Skills in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data
• Good problem solving and time management skills
• Customer focused philosophy of doing business
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills to prioritize workload and coordinate own activities with others
• Knowledge of computer software and use of the Internet—Microsoft Word products
preferred – Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
• Knowledge of internal/external healthcare environments
• Ability to use solid judgment and adhere to confidentiality requirements
• Ability to work in a team environment using tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication
• Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and meet deadlines
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in urgent/emergency situations
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with HCI motor vehicle policy.
• Maintain current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
• Maintain current American Red Cross / CPR/1st Aid certification
• Maintain current State Navigators License to assist consumers and potential consumers with health insurance, SNAP and TANF
