Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the severity and nuances of mood disorder symptoms, ensuring that you gather detailed histories that inform diagnosis and treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, tailoring therapeutic strategies to meet their unique needs, goals, and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders and enhance emotional health.
• Communicate openly with clients and their families to provide education about mood disorders, treatment methodologies, and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated treatment plans for your clients.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health, particularly those related to mood disorders, to continually enhance your practice.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to share insights, gain new perspectives, and promote continuous professional development.
• Actively advocate for clients, challenging stigma associated with mood disorders and promoting mental health awareness in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on individuals navigating a range of mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related challenges. You will employ a client-centered approach, ensuring that each individual feels heard, valued, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare colleagues.
• Proven success in achieving positive treatment outcomes for clients dealing with mood disorders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a telehealth setting, adapting therapeutic techniques for virtual delivery.
• Familiarity with integrated care models that promote collaborative approaches to mental health treatment.
• Additional training or certifications in advanced therapeutic approaches or modalities specific to mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits
