Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs of older adults, ensuring that all aspects of their physical, emotional, and psychological health are considered.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that account for cognitive changes, social dynamics, and health-related factors influencing elderly patients.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as individual and family therapy, utilizing various modalities to address conditions like depression, anxiety, and dementia-related disorders.
  • Collaborate closely with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to maintain integrated treatment approaches, ensuring continuity of care.

  • Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources available for ongoing support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
  • Strong knowledge base regarding geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills conducive to building rapport with elderly patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 yearly, commensurate with experience.
