Job description

Grand Canyon University!One of Arizona's leading institutions of higher learning.

Located in the Valley of Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University.

The Academic Affairs Project Administrator will support the Academic Affairs Project Managers by monitoring project timelines and taking necessary actions to assist in a variety of projects. This position collaborates with internal and external campus partners to achieve project goals, often coordinating and executing tasks for multiple projects at once. The Academic Affairs Project Administrator requires institutional knowledge regarding history, policy, roles and responsibilities, and processes, as well as critical thinking and communication skills.

What you will do:

  • Support Academic Affairs projects by partnering with internal and external campus partners.

  • Understand and communicate scope of project, gathers required information/documentation.

  • Continually completes general administrative duties while adhering to project deadlines.

  • Demonstrate flexibility in managing changing deadlines and project scopes.

  • Communicate updates to department head regarding project timelines, changes, and/or additional requirements when needed.

  • Interpret, communicate, and apply policies and procedures based on the needs of the project.

  • Process and helps prepare data and reports.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • Minimum of three years at Grand Canyon University, however, up to one year of experience may be substituted for based on the relevancy of the GCU department(s).

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Masters preferred.

  • Must successfully pass background checks.

  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
