Prior experience must include: Develop and test contingency plans, hardware maintenance and lifecycle planning for the software, hardware and networking assets affecting SAP; Lead research and analysis projects to identify the business requirements and translate them into effective system designs; Ensure effective security, operation, and peak performance of various SAP Landscapes viz. S/4 HANA, Enterprise Core Components (ECC), Business Warehouse (BW), Process Integration/Orchestration (PI/PO), Business Objects (BOBJ), Information Steward (IS), Data Services (DS), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Solution Manager, Open text, Gateway, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Human Capital Management (HCM), Adobe Document Services (ADS), Business Technology Platform (BTP), Smart Data Integration (SDI), System Landscape Transformation (SLT), HANA Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) etc; SAP Landscape Design, Sizing, Implementations, SAP Application/ Database Upgrades, Distributed and Clustered High Availability setup, System refresh and Production Support activities; Homogeneous and Heterogenous Migrations of the SAP environments from on-premises to the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Compensation: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $130,707 – $172,600 which reflects the potential base pay at the time of this posting. Base pay will depend on factors such as work location, relevant experience, and skills. Grainger reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate compensation and benefit programs in its sole discretion at any time, consistent with applicable law.

Who Is Eligible to Refer?


Employees, full-time and part-time, who are actively employed by Grainger, are eligible to participate in Grainger’s Employee
Referral Program (ERP). The following individuals are NOT eligible to participate: 1. Outside contractors or temporary staff working for Grainger.
2. Employees at the director level and above.
3. Human Resources staff.
4. College Interns.
5. Hiring managers, supervisors, or other individuals that, at the time of the referral, refer candidates for a position in
which they have a direct influence over the hiring decision (i.e. part of the interview team, etc.).
6. Employees may not refer themselves for positions at Grainger.
7. Any non-U.S. based employees.

What is a Valid Referral?

  • A friend
  • Professional acquaintance
  • Or other individual known to you, who is not a current Grainger employee, and whose qualifications match the minimum requirements for a specific open exempt or salaried position within Grainger.

All referrals will be reviewed by the Talent Acquisition department to determine if their qualifications match the requirements for the position in which they were referred. If there is not a match, the referral will remain in the database for the Talent Acquisition department to consider for any future opportunities. All referrals will be ‘owned’ by the original referrer and will remain eligible in the referral database for 12 months after the date of submission.


What Referrals are not Valid?

  • Any referral received via hard copy, fax or any other means outside of Grainger's employee referral

submission process.

  • Any referral that is received as a direct result of an employee acting as representative of Grainger (i.e. a

Grainger employee’s name is on promotional advertising material for Grainger and is sent to a blind resume).

  • Candidates that are currently in a contractor or temporary role at Grainger.
  • Candidates discovered through employment agencies, on contract with an employment agency or through

other direct recruiting sources (i.e. job fairs, Internet, college campus recruiting).

  • Candidates who have been or are currently Grainger interns.
  • Candidates with no established relationship to the referring employee.
  • Active candidates already in the staffing process.
  • Candidates whose profile has already been received by the Talent Acquisition department.
  • A former Grainger employee who has left the company in the last 90 days.

Note: In order to be eligible to receive a referral award, you MUST submit your referral through Grainger’s Employee Referral web site. If the referral is not submitted through the ERP site, you will not be eligible for the payout. No exceptions will be made.


What Positions Can I Refer To? All U.S.-based exempt or salaried positions are eligible for inclusion in Grainger’s Employee Referral Program. Non-exempt or hourly positions are not eligible.  Non-exempt or hourly positions, as well as positions located outside the U.S. are not eligible for inclusion in the program. In addition, any positions outside the U.S. are not included.

Grainger’s Talent Acquisition department reserves the sole right to determine whether the qualifications of all referred candidates match the requirements for positions in which they were referred.

Eligibility will be reviewed and decided upon at the discretion of Grainger’s Talent Acquisition department. All decisions made by the Talent Acquisition department are final

How Do I Monitor The Status Of My Referral? Once you submit your referral, you can check the status of your referral by selecting the Referral Tracking tab located in the Careers tab within GTES.  Once your referral is received by Talent Acquisition it will be reviewed against the position requirements. If there is a fit, your referral will receive a call from Talent Acquisition to further discuss their background. If there is not a fit, and we have a valid email address, your referral will receive an email from Talent Acquisition thanking them for their interest in the position and communicating that their information will stay on file with us.


What Do I Get If My Referral Is Hired? If your referral is hired by Grainger and the candidate meets all requirements of the Employee Referral Program, the referral award will be $2,000!  Referral awards will be distributed in the pay period following the new hire’s 90th day of employment with Grainger. Click here to view Bi-weekly Payroll Processing Schedule (for weekly paid team members, awards will be processed within 2 pay periods following the 90th day of employment with Grainger). Both the new hire and the referring employee must be on Grainger’s payroll at the time payroll processes the award payout.
Example:

  • Your referral is hired and starts on June 18th
  • The 90th day of employment would be September 18th
  • Because the date is after the 15th of the month, the referral award would be processed by Payroll in late
  • October, and payment would be received in your regular paycheck on the last day of October.

For U.S.-based employees, employee referral awards are considered additional W-2 wages and the applicable federal, state, and local taxes and Social Security tax will be withheld form the referral award.
