Catering Sales Manager

The Greystone Inn, a charming getaway nestled in the heart of Lake Toxaway, NC, is actively searching for a personable, articulate, customer-focused, and results-driven Catering Sales Manager to join our Sales team.

The Greystone Inn, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, is a historic lakeside resort located in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Known for its exceptional hospitality, natural beauty, and personalized guest service, the inn offers a unique work environment where you will gain valuable hospitality experience while enjoying the outdoors and the charm of a small mountain community.

Job Summary: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive group, and catering revenue while maintaining brand standards and service excellence.
  • Achieve and exceed budgeted room, catering, and total revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with the GM and revenue management on forecasting, pace, and strategy.
  • Lead all group and catering sales efforts, including weddings, social events, corporate meetings, and buyouts.
  • Oversee proposal development, contract negotiation, group resumes, BEO's, planning and overall event strategy.
  • Coordinate and lead site visits with potential clients.
  • Establishes strong relationships with the surrounding community and clientele through regular calls, visits, emails, etc. Screen all calls and inquiries of the sales office.
  • Timely responds to guest feedback and communicates feedback with other department managers as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in hotels, preferably boutique or lifestyle properties.
  • Must live within 60 minutes of the property.
  • Proven success driving group, catering, and total revenue.
  • The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with a strong background in relationship-based selling, creative market positioning, and collaborative leadership.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working closely with revenue management and operations teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as business demands.
