Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates outstanding internal and external service in accordance with “Red Carpet Service” program guidelines.
  • Prepares and serves beverages, following standard practices and recipes.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety of work and guest areas.
  • Maintains par levels of operating supplies and equipment at all bars and canteens, replenishing as needed in accordance with procedure.
  • Maintains stock of paper products on storage shelves.
  • Communicates supply orders to Food & Beverage supervisory staff, in a timely manner.
  • Picks up and delivers supplies from Food & Beverage storeroom and receiving dock.
  • Administers bartender breaks.
  • Monitors guest consumption of alcohol, intervening as needed according to established practices.
  • Operates the POS system to reconcile sales.
  • Maintains cash drawer, balancing at shift end.
  • Coordinates beverage service with cocktail servers to maintain an efficient service flow.
  • Attends departmental and company meetings, as required.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English.
  • Ability to understand and perform duties in accordance with:
    • Hollywood Casino Aurora Core Values
    • Departmental, property, and company policies and standards
    • Illinois Gaming Board requirements
    • Sarbanes-Oxley
    • Internal Controls
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including calculating discounts, interest, and commissions and apply to practical situations.
  • Ability to maintain HCA identified responsible alcohol service certification.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 30 lbs.
