Job description

Field Camera Installation Technician

Stoney Creek, ON | $60,000 - $70,000 + Overtime + Company Vehicle

Do you enjoy working outdoors, solving technical challenges, and seeing the direct results of your work every day?

GardaWorld ECAM is seeking a reliable and motivated Field Camera Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will install, service, and maintain advanced video surveillance systems at commercial and industrial customer sites throughout Ontario.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, technology, and working independently in the field. Every day is different, with opportunities to work on large-scale security projects while developing valuable technical skills in video surveillance, networking, and field service operations.

 

What You'll Do

  • Install, configure, and maintain video surveillance and camera systems at customer locations
  • Run and terminate cabling for surveillance equipment
  • Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and system performance issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance and service calls
  • Work safely at heights using lifts, bucket trucks, ladders, and rooftop access points
  • Communicate professionally with customers and provide exceptional service
  • Complete service reports, documentation, and administrative tasks accurately and on time
  • Travel throughout Ontario to support installation and maintenance projects
  • Participate in overtime and occasional overnight travel as required

 

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a field service, installation, construction, telecommunications, electrical, security, or technical service environment
  • Experience using power tools and working with hand tools safely
  • Basic networking knowledge, including IP devices and connectivity fundamentals
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Comfortable working at heights, including rooftops and bucket trucks
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience installing CCTV, video surveillance, security, or access control systems
  • Structured cabling experience
  • Bucket truck experience
  • Working at Heights certification
  • Lift equipment certification
  • Telecommunications, electrical, low-voltage, or security industry experience
