Functional Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in San Jose, California. In this full-time role, you will play a critical part in helping our patients regain their strength, mobility, and quality of life. Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work onsite at our San Jose outpatient office, where we emphasize the importance of a comfortable and well-equipped setting. Our facility is designed to support effective rehabilitation practices, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and therapy tools. You'll be part of a close-knit team, collaborating daily with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to our patients' needs. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized one-on-one therapy sessions with a manageable caseload of 1 to 2 patients per hour to ensure focused attention and effective treatment.
• Assess each patient's unique conditions by conducting comprehensive evaluations to inform treatment plans.
• Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and education to enhance recovery and promote wellness.
• Utilize WebPT for accurate documentation of patient progress, outcomes, and adjustments to therapy approaches as needed.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care and monitor progress, ensuring open lines of communication.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, therapy techniques, and preventive strategies for long-term management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse clientele ranges from active adults to senior citizens, each with unique rehabilitation needs and goals. You will help empower these individuals to reclaim their movement and improve their overall health outcomes through personalized care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required, with a Doctorate or Master’s degree preferred.
• Possession of a current or eligible California Physical Therapist license is essential to practice in our outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in hands-on therapy techniques and patient-centered care methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills to inspire patients and foster their commitment to treatment plans.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in an outpatient orthopedic setting, is highly preferred.
• Experience in applying advanced rehabilitation techniques and familiarity with WebPT or similar documentation systems.
• Proven track record of positive patient outcomes through effective treatment strategies and education.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
