Work Environment

Located in the picturesque coastal town of Newport, Oregon, our Early Intervention Center provides an inviting and professional setting where innovation meets compassion. As the Occupational Therapist, you will work onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Our facility is designed to create a therapeutic environment that supports both patient progress and staff engagement, with modern equipment and resources at your disposal.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents to identify therapeutic needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing mobility, self-care, and daily living activities.
• Guide residents through effective therapy programs and exercises that improve their functional abilities and confidence.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to accommodate changes in needs or objectives.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory standards while adhering to organizational policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and speech therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with residents in need of rehabilitation and support in daily living activities, which may include elderly individuals recovering from surgery or injury, as well as younger clients requiring assistance due to developmental delays or disabilities. Your focus will be on helping these diverse patient groups achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life through targeted interventions.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid and active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, and compliance standards.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an early intervention or assisted living environment.
• Familiarity with patient assessment tools and individualized treatment planning methodologies.
• Background in collaborative care settings that emphasize teamwork and patient-centered practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary between USD 90,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
