Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents’ physical, emotional, and cognitive needs to create customized treatment plans.
• Implement one-on-one therapeutic interventions aimed at improving residents’ mobility, daily living skills, and overall quality of life.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary while maintaining thorough documentation in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care that aligns with the individualized needs of each resident.
• Educate residents and their families on techniques and exercises that promote independence and safety in daily activities.
• Adhere to healthcare regulations and best practices to ensure the delivery of safe and effective occupational therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Occupational Therapist at Forward Function Healthcare Center, you will work primarily with seniors and individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or illnesses that impact their day-to-day functioning. Our client population includes those within assisted living arrangements who need specialized support to regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Oregon is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within rehabilitation or geriatric care.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR systems and familiarity with current occupational therapy techniques and industry regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation center or assisted living environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The Occupational Therapist position at Forward Function Healthcare Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually.
