Position Overview

Function First Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. In this essential role, you will provide comprehensive mental health evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans for a diverse clientele. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions via telehealth platforms from the comfort of your own space. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through interviews and standardized assessments to identify clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that include specific intervention strategies and recovery goals for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring the therapeutic needs of each participant are met.
• Continuously monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to optimize client outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other mental health specialists to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Conduct follow-ups with clients post-therapy and liaise with hospital personnel for those requiring inpatient care.
• Identify risk factors and behaviors that may hinder recovery, implementing proactive strategies to prevent setbacks.
• Support family members and caregivers coping with the challenges associated with mental health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse array of clients dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will involve understanding their unique circumstances and developing tailored approaches that resonate with their individual needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong proficiency with electronic health record systems, with experience in AVATAR being a significant asset.
• In-depth knowledge of the latest evidence-based practices in psychotherapy and mental health interventions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey therapeutic concepts to clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a proven track record of effective therapeutic techniques.
• Experience dealing with clients experiencing concurrent physical health conditions and addiction disorders, highlighting a holistic approach to treatment.
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and current developments in the field.
• Understanding the pharmacological impact of medications prescribed by healthcare professionals and how they affect client health and therapy outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
