Who you are:

As a Central Credit Underwriter II your opinion matters. You will be responsible for approving or declining consumer credit requests with underwriting authority of $100,000 to $1,000,000 or commercial credit requests with underwriting authority of $250,000 to $1,000,000. More than that, this role is about building relationships and providing top-quality service and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.

What you'll do:

  • Approve/decline or make recommendation for alternative financing within established loan authority
  • Mentor, train and coach bankers
  • Assist in training and mentoring Underwriter I's
  • Act as the department liaison
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in lending, preferably within underwriting
  • Proven record of success in an underwriting environment
  • Ability to understand cash flow, financial statements and leverage ratios
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and evaluate cash flow, capital and collateral adequacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
