What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Video Editor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Video Editor, you need strong proficiency in video editing techniques, storytelling, and a solid understanding of visual composition, typically supported by experience or a degree in film production or a related field. Mastery of editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects, along with familiarity with color grading and audio editing tools, is essential.
