Job description

MEP Superintendent – Multifamily Construction

Miami, FL | Top General Contractor | Major Ground-Up Projects

A leading General Contractor in South Florida is looking to add an experienced MEP Superintendent to its Miami team as a result of continued growth and a strong pipeline of major multifamily projects.

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded GC delivering large-scale, complex ground-up developments across South Florida.

We're looking for someone who genuinely understands the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing side of construction and can take ownership of MEP coordination and field execution from early installation through commissioning and turnover.

The Role

Working as part of the project leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving the MEP scopes on major multifamily developments, coordinating closely with the General Superintendent, Project Management team and MEP subcontractors.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Managing field execution across mechanical, electrical and plumbing scopes
  • Coordinating MEP subcontractors and ensuring work is properly sequenced
  • Driving short-term schedules and maintaining critical project milestones
  • Identifying clashes, constructability issues and potential delays before they impact the project
  • Coordinating MEP installations with structural, architectural and finish scopes
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, submittals and RFIs
  • Leading MEP coordination meetings with subcontractors and project stakeholders
  • Monitoring quality and ensuring installations meet project requirements
  • Supporting testing, inspections, start-up and commissioning
  • Driving punch, closeout and turnover
  • Maintaining the highest standards of safety across MEP operations
  • Working closely with the wider field team to keep projects moving

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with experienced MEP Superintendents, MEP Coordinators and technically strong Superintendents who have managed complex building systems for a General Contractor.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Strong ground-up construction experience
  • Previous MEP Superintendent or MEP field leadership experience
  • Experience delivering large multifamily, high-rise, residential, hospitality or similarly complex projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
  • Experience coordinating multiple MEP subcontractors simultaneously
  • Excellent understanding of construction sequencing
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • The ability to identify problems early and drive solutions in the field

Large-scale multifamily or high-rise experience would be particularly attractive.

Why Consider It?

This isn't an opportunity to join a contractor chasing its next project.

You'll be joining an established GC with a significant South Florida presence, an excellent pipeline of work and major projects underway and coming through in the Miami market.

For the right MEP Superintendent, there is genuine opportunity to take ownership of complex projects and continue progressing within the business.
