Job description


The Markdown Team Associate performs all merchandise scanning and re-pricing of all price changes accurately and efficiently in accordance with Forman Mills Store Pricing policies and procedures.
Provides a Courteous, Fast and Friendly experience to all store guests entering and leaving Forman Mills.
Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace area.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for meeting or exceeding fast and friendly scanning and re-pricing to or above Forman Mills UPH (Units Per Hour) expectations.
• Ensure outstanding customer service by greeting, assisting and thanking each customer in a positive approachable manner.
• Present a positive image towards all team members, customers and the community.
• Responsible for accurately scanning all merchandise to prevent any inventory adjustments
• Performs additional tasks when needed outside the markdown team scanning area to include:
o Salesfloor recovery
o Merchandising/ stocking
o Markdowns
o Hanging and processing new merchandise
o Back up cashier if trained.
• Help deter theft by reporting all dishonest behavior to management and/ or Loss Prevention department
Position Requirements:
• Ability to work varied hours/days, including 1 -2 nights per week, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
• The ability to work in different areas of the store such as selling floor, fitting room, and receiving as directed by supervisors and management.
• Ability to communicate effectively as it relates to communicating to customers and team members all Forman Mills written policy and procedures, training materials, directives and any other materials Forman Mills produces.
• Ability to perform basic math functions in order to operate the register, make change and conduct inventory.
• Physical requirements include lift up to 50 lbs. Use of hands and fingers in a continuous and repetitive activity. Adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and repetitive lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience: Cashier experience preferred but not required
• Job Related Skills: Math, ability to count money and give accurate change
• Ability to handle different customer's personalities in a professional manner
• High Energy, Positive attitude, Friendly, Courteous,
• Excellent People Skills
