Job description

Title: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Relocation Assistance: Locals Preferred 

The Chief Financial Officer will report to the CEO and serve as a strategic member of the Executive Management team, overseeing the company's financial operations and providing leadership on financial strategy, planning, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Finance and Accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning.
  • Develop and manage job costing, financial controls, and reporting processes.
  • Advise executive leadership on financial performance, investments, and business decisions.
  • Oversee strategic planning, deal analysis, negotiations, financing, and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and overall financial performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA/CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Experience as a CFO, VP Finance or other financial leadership role for a small to mid size company. 
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Microsoft Windows.

Salary Expectation: 165K-175K + 20% bonus
