Assistant Manager - Barber Park
Greensboro Parks & Recreation
Requisition #05547 | Position #2104
Help Lead a Park Where Greensboro Comes to Play
A great park is more than beautiful grounds and well-maintained facilities. It's a place where families gather, athletes compete, neighbors connect, and the community creates lasting memories.
As Assistant Park Manager at Barber Park, you'll help make those experiences possible every day.
Working alongside the Park Manager, you'll help lead the daily operations, maintenance, safety, programming, and customer experience of Barber Park and associated park sites. You'll supervise and develop employees, coordinate maintenance and contracted services, support programs and special events, respond to operational needs, and help ensure every part of the park is safe, clean, functional, welcoming, and ready for the community.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on, people-centered leader who enjoys balancing field operations with customer service, staff leadership, problem-solving, and event activation. Your work will directly support Greensboro's commitment to a vibrant, healthy, and equitable park system.
Greensboro Parks & Recreation is nationally accredited and a four-time National Gold Medal Award winner for Parks and Recreation Excellence. We're continuing to invest in our parks, strengthen partnerships, expand programming, and create transformational experiences for residents and visitors.
If you're ready to lead from the field and help make Barber Park an exceptional destination for the community, we'd love to have you join the team.
