About Minsky Law

Minsky Law LLC is a Pennsylvania-based litigation firm handling high-stakes matters involving catastrophic injury, personal injury, insurance coverage disputes, civil rights, and commercial litigation.

Founded less than one year ago, the firm is intentionally being built from the ground up. Our goal is not to become a large firm for the sake of size. We are building a sophisticated, selective practice centered on excellent lawyering, meticulous preparation, personal client service, and meaningful results.

About the Role

Minsky Law is seeking an Executive Legal Assistant to work directly alongside Matthew Minsky in both the advancement of active cases and the operation and growth of the firm.

This is not a traditional administrative role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of responsibilities, exercise sound judgment, anticipate what needs to be done, and keep matters moving without being constantly directed.

The ideal candidate will be organized, intellectually curious, highly dependable, and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can change quickly. You should be someone who sees a problem and begins working toward the solution.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake calls and assist with screening and evaluating prospective matters
• Collect and organize information and documentation from prospective and existing clients
• Request, obtain, and track medical records, bills, liens, and related documentation from providers, hospitals, insurers, and lienholders
• File documents with the Court
• Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized electronic case files
• Manage and maintain matters within the firm's case management system, Filevine
• Assist with case preparation, including organizing documents, information, and deadlines
• Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, records custodians, lienholders, and other third parties
• Provide executive support to the attorney, including calendar management, correspondence, scheduling, and prioritization
• Monitor matters for outstanding items, approaching deadlines, and potential issues
• Identify gaps or problems proactively and take steps to address them
• Assist with the day-to-day operation and development of the firm as it grows

• Produces work that can be trusted. The goal is not merely to complete a task quickly; it is to complete it correctly and bring it to the attorney in the best possible shape.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal experience, preferably in litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, or a related practice
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional and comfortable communicating with clients and third parties
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Comfortable learning and working with technology and case-management systems; Filevine experience is a plus
• Ability to operate effectively in a growing and evolving environment
• Willingness to work remotely initially, with the potential for an in-person role in Philadelphia or the surrounding suburbs as the firm grows
• Bilingual ability is a plus

Trial Period

New hires typically begin with a 60-90 day trial period, allowing both the firm and the candidate to determine whether the position is the right fit. *Candidates with substantial demonstrated experience may be considered for an exception at the firm’s discretion.

Matthew founded Minsky Law with the goal of building a unique kind of litigation practice: one that combines the sophistication and legal firepower of a premier litigation firm with the accessibility, responsiveness, and personal attention of a boutique practice. He is committed to providing top-tier legal representation with a client-first, concierge-level approach.

Before founding Minsky Law, Matthew was a litigator at a prominent boutique law firm in Philadelphia, where he represented individuals and businesses in high-stakes litigation. His practice included significant personal injury and catastrophic injury matters, as well as complex commercial and business disputes. 

Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Prior to law school, Matthew earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from Penn State.

Today, Matthew is building Minsky Law with a clear long-term vision: a selective, sophisticated litigation practice known for exceptional preparation, strategic thinking, relentless advocacy, and results.
