Fatima Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. Work Environment

This position operates entirely remotely, allowing you to provide services from the comfort of your own home while utilizing state-of-the-art telehealth technology. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through virtual assessments, ensuring thorough documentation from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.
  • Develop and implement individualized, couple, family, and group therapy treatment plans that address diverse mental health challenges.
  • Lead engaging and constructive therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Monitor client progress and reassess treatment plans as necessary, adjusting interventions to enhance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams involving psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and social workers to create cohesive intervention strategies.
  • Support and train family members or primary caregivers in managing and understanding mental health challenges prevalent in their loved ones.
  • Address and identify barriers to recovery, providing resources and guidance to mitigate these issues effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from a diverse range of backgrounds and face various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will be instrumental in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate these challenges, ensuring they feel supported and empowered throughout their mental health journey.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.
  • Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in Texas.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, ideally within a telehealth or remote setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure proficient documentation and client tracking.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience with individuals dealing with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is highly valued.
  • A comprehensive understanding of best practices as per the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology and the effects of medications prescribed by medical practitioners.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication abilities, along with superior interpersonal skills conducive to building rapport with clients.
  • Empathy and a compassionate approach to counseling that prioritizes client well-being and comfort.
Compensation and Benefits
