Job description

Austin is one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the country, and that growth means a steady, expanding pipeline of new homeowners, new vehicles, new businesses, and new families all of whom need insurance. Farmers Insurance has been building a strong presence in this market, and our district office is looking for an experienced, self-motivated sales professional ready to claim their piece of it.

This isn't a transactional sales job. Every policy you write becomes part of something that's yours a growing book of business that pays you recurring revenue year after year through renewals, not just a one-time commission check. Unlike a typical sales role where you start over every month, the clients you sign and retain compound over time into a real, valuable asset one that can eventually be sold or passed on.

We're looking for someone who wants to operate like they're running their own business: setting your own schedule, developing your own client base, and building long-term relationships with the systems, mentorship, and brand recognition of an established Farmers district office behind you.

Why This Role

  • Austin's growth works for you. New residents and businesses moving into the area create a constant flow of insurance need home, auto, life, and commercial.
  • Recurring revenue, not one-and-done sales. Policies renew annually, so the book you build today keeps paying you in years two, three, and beyond.
  • You're building an asset, not just earning a paycheck. A book of business has real, tangible value it can grow, be leveraged, and sold or passed down.
  • Backed by Farmers Insurance growth and reputation. You're building your business under a nationally recognized brand with real infrastructure, marketing support, and name recognition already in place.
  • Uncapped upside. Your commission and bonus potential grow directly with the size and quality of the book you build there's no ceiling.
