About the Organization

With a mission to foster psychological well-being, we offer a range of therapeutic services aimed at supporting individuals through their mental health challenges. Our team is composed of passionate professionals who collaborate closely to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

Work Environment

This role is predominantly remote, leveraging telehealth technologies to connect with clients while also being part of a compassionate treatment team. Our outpatient office allows for ongoing collaboration with healthcare professionals, ensuring a supportive environment tailored to the needs of both clients and staff. We emphasize a balance between professional development and maintaining a healthy work-life equilibrium, creating a workplace that values your well-being as much as that of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will play an integral role in the treatment and therapeutic support of our clients. Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating regularly with physicians to offer updates on patient progress, addressing any concerns or problems as they arise.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and accurate clinical records in accordance with departmental policies, ensuring timely documentation of treatment plans and patient interactions.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop holistic treatment plans, including customized discharge strategies based on comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
  • Providing crisis intervention and supportive counseling to clients, conducting assessments and formulating tailored treatments for emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Assisting clients with discharge planning and care coordination, facilitating connections with local service providers to enhance their support systems.
  • Engaging with families and support networks, offering guidance and resources to promote client recovery and successful reintegration into daily life.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on assisting clients facing a spectrum of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health challenges. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy and understanding while applying evidence-based strategies to encourage recovery, engage clients in therapy, and empower them to develop coping skills that promote ongoing mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Professional Counseling or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or an equivalent credential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an outpatient mental health setting.
  • Demonstrated competency in delivering evidence-based treatments and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills allowing for a self-directed approach to managing a diverse caseload.
  • Proficient in using technology for client management, including familiarity with MS Office Suite and various telehealth platforms.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in crisis intervention or specialized therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), will be particularly well-suited for this position. Familiarity with community resources in the Norristown area and strong collaborative skills will enhance your effectiveness within our team.

In addition to a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health and well-being:
