As part of our team,you'llbe instrumental in crafting theinitialexperience for customers as they enter the Expedia ecosystem. From the home page to navigation, your work will ensure travelers can easily explore, discover, and shop for their ideal travel products, traversing core platform initiatives andbuildingExpedia Group'svarious brands.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, implement, andmaintainhigh-quality Android applications, focusing on clean architecture, robust API integration, and effective data modeling to support scalable mobile experiences

  • Lead system and low-level design for complex mobile features, including modularization, performance optimization, and integration patterns across multiple services and platforms

  • Drive technical excellence in the Android codebase byestablishingstandards for code quality, testing, observability, and reliability, and by conducting thorough code and design reviews

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product and UX requirements into technical solutions, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and reusability of mobile components across domains

  • Safely integrate andoperateAI/MLenabledsolutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products

  • Mentor and guide other Android engineers, sharing best practices for mobile development, release processes, and operational support for applications in production

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Scienceor a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience

  • Strongproficiencywith core Android development (Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, UI frameworks), including API design, data modeling, and system design for mobile architectures with ownership of end-to-end feature delivery for one or more services or products

  • Demonstrated experience with testing, monitoring, and operating Android applications in production environments, including troubleshooting performance, reliability, and security issues

  • Experience contributing to the technical direction of a codebase, including setting and upholding standards for code quality, reviews, and maintainability across features or components

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading the technical design and implementation of complex Android features or subsystems, including cross-service integrations and modular architectures thatoperateat scale

The total cash range for this position in Montreal is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
