Excela Behavioral Health is actively seeking a dedicated Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 101,000 per year, reflecting experience and qualifications, along with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities

  • Engage actively in licensing and accreditation processes, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining high standards of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele you will serve at Excela Behavioral Health includes individuals facing various challenges related to mental health, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. Many clients may be experiencing acute crises or require ongoing support to maintain their emotional well-being. Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Completion of a full-time clinical internship or supervised experience in a mental health setting.
  • Eligibility for licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of New York.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license in good standing may be beneficial for meeting clients as necessary.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to establish rapport and trust with clients rapidly.
  • Strong listening abilities combined with empathy and guiding support to foster positive mental health outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage client records and documentation efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in telehealth delivery and familiarity with digital therapeutic tools.
  • Background in developing and implementing crisis intervention strategies.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with various socioeconomic backgrounds and mental health challenges.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary between USD 80,000 and 101,000, depending on experience and qualifications, along with a generous sign-on bonus.
