Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a confidential client in Morris, IL seeking an experienced Inventory & Warehouse Coordinator to provide coverage during a temporary staffing gap. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, independent professional with inventory management experience who can step in and make an immediate impact.
This position works within a power generation/industrial facility and requires someone who is comfortable operating with minimal supervision while maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating purchases, and supporting warehouse operations.

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a confidential client in Morris, IL seeking an experienced Inventory & Warehouse Coordinator to provide coverage during a temporary staffing gap. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, independent professional with inventory management experience who can step in and make an immediate impact.
This position works within a power generation/industrial facility and requires someone who is comfortable operating with minimal supervision while maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating purchases, and supporting warehouse operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Issue and track purchase orders for parts, materials, and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory management system.
- Receive, count, verify, and properly store incoming materials.
- Conduct inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Organize warehouse stock and ensure materials are stored in correct locations.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Utilize inventory management software and Excel to track inventory activity.
- Sort, filter, and analyze inventory data using Microsoft Excel.
- Coordinate materials and inventory needs with operations and maintenance personnel.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Support warehouse and field operations as needed.
- Operate forklifts when necessary, including narrow aisle and outdoor forklift equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous inventory control, warehouse coordination, materials management, or storeroom experience required.
- Experience working within an inventory management system required.
- Experience with Maximo strongly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and data management.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in industrial, power generation, manufacturing, maintenance, or skilled trades environments preferred.
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk throughout the warehouse and facility.
- Ability to lift, move, and organize materials as needed.
- Comfortable working in both warehouse and outdoor environments.
- Forklift operation is required less than 25% of the time.
