Position Overview

Easy Start Therapy, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team in Gainesville, Florida. The therapist will work 40 hours per week in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, focusing primarily on outpatient orthopedics, with a particular emphasis on spine-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans that address specific needs, including assessments for physical function and mobility.
  • Implement and modify therapeutic interventions based on patient progress and feedback, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical guidelines.
  • Make independent clinical decisions regarding patient care, demonstrating sound judgment and professional expertise.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment regimens, exercise programs, and preventative measures to promote independence and long-term wellness.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Engage in regular multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient caseloads, address any complex cases, and share insights with team members.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs, advocating for increased awareness of physical therapy’s benefits.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety standards and maintaining required equipment and supplies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. A focus on spine health management and rehabilitation will be essential, as many patients seek relief and recovery from spinal ailments. Our holistic approach means that you will address not just physical limitations but also help foster mental and emotional resilience in our clients.

Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT) with a degree conferred post-2003.
  • Current physical therapy licensure in Florida is mandatory, maintaining an active status in good standing throughout employment.
  • CPR certification must be obtained upon hiring or during orientation and maintained throughout employment.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, particularly with spine rehabilitation, is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems and experience with software tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Compensation and Benefits
