Acuff Financial Services is a growing financial services firm providing tax, accounting, payroll, and advisory services to individuals and small businesses throughout Georgia. With offices in Watkinsville, Winder, and Loganville, we combine personalized service with deep technical expertise to help clients make confident financial decisions.


Our firm provides integrated financial services, including tax, accounting, wealth management, and insurance, allowing our team to collaborate on comprehensive planning strategies for individuals and business owners.

Acuff Financial Services is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant with public accounting experience.


This role involves preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, advising clients on planning strategies, mentoring staff, and helping improve firm systems and workflows. The ideal candidate enjoys both technical tax work and improving processes, and wants to play an active role in the continued growth of the firm.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare federal and state tax returns, including:
  • Individual (Form 1040)
  • Partnerships (Form 1065)
  • S Corporations (Form 1120S)
  • C Corporations (Form 1120)
  • Trusts and Estates (Form 1041)
  • Prepare and review business and corporate tax returns accurately and efficiently.
  • Research tax issues and apply current federal and state tax laws.
  • Communicate with clients regarding tax documents, questions, notices, and filing requirements.
  • Assist with tax planning and projections for individuals and businesses.
  • Work collaboratively with the tax team to meet filing deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA or EA license required
  • Recent public accounting tax experience required
  • 3+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
  • Knowledge of S-corporation, partnership, and small business tax planning
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
  • Experience reviewing staff work and mentoring junior accountants preferred
  • Interest in leadership and long-term growth within a CPA firm

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000, depending on experience, with opportunity to grow
