Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Leadership
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for highspend categories: tires, fuel, parts, fittings, filters, lube/oil, truck accessories, and other MRO items.
- Conduct spend analysis to identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, cost reduction, and standardization.
- Develop and manage RFP and competitive bid processes to ensure optimal supplier selection and pricing.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing agreements to improve service levels, reduce costs, and ensure supply continuity.
- Establish and maintain national and regional supplier partnerships aligned with operational needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Fleet Procurement & Supplier Coordination
- Lead sourcing activities for vehicle acquisitions including OEM and upfitter supplier coordination.
- Develop vehicle and equipment specifications in collaboration with operations, safety, and maintenance teams.
- Manage vendor relationships with fleet manufacturers, dealers, and equipment upfitters.
- Support total cost of ownership analysis to inform vehicle purchasing and replacement decisions.
- Analyze repair histories, identify reliability trends, and optimize maintenance spend.
Procurement Analytics & Financial Optimization
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for savings.
- Support capital planning and forecasting related to fleet and operational equipment purchases.
- Develop reporting and dashboards to track sourcing performance, supplier metrics, and savings initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with operational priorities.
- Present sourcing strategies, supplier performance metrics, and cost-savings initiatives to leadership.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelorโs degree in supply chain, business, logistics, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Demonstrated experience managing supplier negotiations, RFP processes, and contract management
- Strong analytical skills with experience in spend analysis and cost modeling
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with procurement or fleet management systems
- Ability to travel as needed to supplier sites or operating locations

- Pay: Starting at $105,000 (depending on experience)
