Transportation Specialist

Compensation: $20.25 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; additional hours as operationally required.

About the Role

The Transportation Specialist provides administrative, scheduling, dispatching, customer service, financial, and reporting support to regional transit operations while ensuring compliance with operational and government requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Answer customer and employee calls and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Schedule rides and maintain accurate scheduling records.
  • Dispatch Bus Operators and communicate service updates.
  • Reconcile manifests, fares, and prepare deposits.
  • Manage Medicaid transportation documentation and billing.
  • Prepare invoices, payments, reports, and financial documentation.
  • Maintain operational records and regulatory documentation.
  • Order office supplies and employee uniforms.
  • Issue DSS bus passes.
  • Provide departmental support and perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two years of office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
