Job description

About the role
Adobe is building the infrastructure that keeps its product language clear, consistent, and high quality as the company grows. This role builds the systems that make it work at scale.
As Content Systems Architect, you're responsible for the architecture that turns Adobe's editorial and AI-generated language standards into working systems. Those systems are the models, agents, and platform integrations that apply the standards across Adobe's products.
You decide how a standard shows up in the tools teams use, how it gets built in, and how it stays current as the standard changes. You lead how standards are modeled and integrated across Adobe's internal AI platforms and tools, and you keep those systems traceable to the standards they encode.
You work as a peer to senior leaders in design systems, product, engineering, and content strategy. This is a senior individual contributor role with impact across multiple product areas.
What you'll do
Lead the Implementation Architecture
  • Define how terminology, patterns, and guidance are modeled in the system, so standards can be built and reused.
  • Translate editorial standards, playbooks, and standards for AI-generated language into structured formats that systems can apply consistently.
  • Define the technical and system requirements for the skills and agents that encode Adobe's language standards.
  • Lead the architecture modeling and implementation patterns that keep structured content inputs consistent and reusable across the system.
  • Work from Adobe's established content and language standards, and express them in forms that implement cleanly.

Build the Skills and Agents That Apply the Standards
  • Build the system-level agents that apply shared standards across domains, and the skill that packages them into a single capability a designer can invoke.
  • Build domain-level agents and skills that apply shared standards within a specific product, workflow, or business domain.
  • Integrate these across Adobe's AI platforms and tools, so standards show up accurately in each.

Operate and Evaluate the Delivery Platform
  • Stand up and maintain the integration of standards into the enterprise delivery platform. This is ongoing work, not a one-time build.
  • Provide clear specifications for how content rules, terminology, and patterns should work in the platform, and check the implementation against the standards.
  • Identify and resolve gaps between the intended standards and what the platform can do.
  • Keep evaluating whether the platform serves the standards, and recommend changes (including moving to a different platform) if it doesn't.

Enable Teams on the System
  • Teach teams how the system works: how standards are modeled, applied, and maintained across tools.
  • Document the system so other teams can build on it.
  • Support teams as they adopt system-level and domain-level skills and agents in their own workflows.

Steward Standards-to-System Traceability
  • Keep clear traceability between standards and how they're implemented across tools and platforms.
  • Make sure changes to standards are reflected accurately in the systems that implement them.
  • Catch gaps, inconsistencies, and edge cases during implementation, and flag them so the standards can be updated.

Impact
  • Turn Adobe's UX language standards into working, scalable systems.
  • Keep standards represented accurately across Adobe's AI platforms and tools.
  • Make content systems more reliable and easier to scale across products.
  • Reduce drift between the standards and the systems that implement them.

What you bring
  • Experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing in product environments, with depth in structured content or design systems.
  • A track record of turning standards and guidance into systems that scale.
  • Comfort with content tooling and AI/LLM platforms. Experience integrating standards into LLM-based systems is a strong plus.
  • Systems and architecture thinking. You're comfortable modeling how standards are represented and enforced across tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, and an eye for inconsistencies or gaps in complex systems.
  • Comfortable working as a senior individual contributor alongside editorial, AI, and operations teams.

What this role Is not
  • Not editorial standard-setting or voice and tone definition
  • Not AI behavior governance or policy
  • Not platform rollout, adoption programs, or measurement
  • Not product-level content decisions or UI copy (that lives with embedded product and domain content teams)

It's an implementation role. The job is making UX language standards work across Adobe's tools and platforms.
