Job description

As a Warehouse Coach, you will provide leadership to the warehouse floor employees to improve communication with trainers, leads, and supervisors along with people management.


WHAT YOULL DO

  • Serves as a coach and mentor to all warehouse order selector employees (set the example as a model employee on the floor and act as a resource to other employees)
  • Safely and efficiently utilize the warehouse material handling equipment, meeting appropriate production, service level and food safety standards
  • Communicates work expectations and results achieved  
  • Will be responsible for leading a POD 
  • Will work as a back-up lead or trainer role when necessary, if not then working in production. 
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Must be a current employee of Dot Foods, Inc. or Dot Transportation, Inc.
  • High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Worked on Dot warehouse floor for at least 6 months and successfully graduated the 90-day program

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

  • Leadership experience
  • Prior success in a leadership or training role 
  • Prior experience in an environment that promotes safety
  • Completed or in the process of completing the Achieve program 


ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Schedule:
  • Dry; Sunday-Wednesday 7:00PM-5:30AM - French 
  • Dry Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6:30AM-5:00PM- Spanish 
  • Wage Range: $22.75 - $27.00 plus differentials 
  • Environment: Warehouse based environment with temperatures based on the temperature outside
  • Perform special projects as needed  
  • Possible need to arrive before and/or stay after shift to fulfill responsibilities 
  • Extensive standing/walking while operating warehouse equipment
