Position Overview

Divine Mercy Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions, group therapy discussions, and family counseling for a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and relational issues.
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments to evaluate client needs, allowing for the formulation of customized treatment plans that align with their personal goals and circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and educators, to ensure a holistic approach to client care and effective intervention strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential electronic health records, ensuring accuracy in documentation and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development through attendance at workshops, seminars, and continuing education initiatives to remain abreast of the latest best practices in mental health counseling.
  • Provide crisis intervention and conduct risk assessments, ensuring that clients receive timely and appropriate support during emergencies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve serving a varied client population, including individuals from diverse backgrounds facing complex mental health challenges. Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field is required.
  • Current licensure as a mental health counselor in the state of Florida.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience providing counseling services to individuals, groups, and families.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to foster therapeutic relationships.
  • Ability to adapt to a collaborative team setting and to work independently with a high degree of accountability.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and teletherapy technologies.
Preferred Experience

Experience in treating a variety of mental health disorders, knowledge of different therapeutic modalities, and a background in crisis management are highly desirable. Familiarity with telehealth practices will further enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
