Job description

About the Company

At Current, everything starts with people. We believe that when you invest in talent through opportunity, development, and support, you unlock growth for individuals, firms, and clients alike. That’s why we’ve built a platform designed to give our people access to more: more learning, more collaboration, and more ways to grow their careers than any single firm could offer on its own.
Founded in 2023, Current has rapidly become one of the fastest-growing accounting platforms in the country, partnering with more than 40 leading accounting firms across the United States. Today, our community includes over 2,000 professionals, 30+ offices nationwide, and a growing global workforce that supports clients around the world. Backed by Thrive Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Springdale Industries, Current is investing heavily in technology, artificial intelligence, and workforce innovation to help modernize the profession. Our leadership team has a proven track record of building and scaling successful businesses, with prior ventures generating more than $3 billion in combined enterprise value.
We’re building something bigger than a traditional accounting firm: a platform where talented people can grow faster, learn more, and do more meaningful work. Whether you join Current, one of our partner firms, or our global team, you’ll be part of a community shaping the future of the profession.

Who We Are

Force 10 Partners is a nationally recognized financial advisory firm based in Irvine, California, focused on a number of service offerings including, but not limited to complex corporate restructuring, litigation support, valuation, and forensic financial analysis. They are frequently retained to provide other services such as interim management, serve as a fiduciary, and provide expert witness reports, and are well-known for rigor, independence, and credibility.

About the Role

We are seeking a Director to join our restructuring and litigation support practice. This is an execution-heavy, client-facing role with responsibility for complex financial analysis, and financial modeling. Directors work closely with partners and senior professionals and are expected to take ownership of workstreams, analyses, and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze historical and projected financial statements, cash flows, liquidity, and capital structures

  • Build, review, and maintain detailed financial models, including forecasts, liquidity analyses, valuation models, and damages-related computations

  • Prepare analyses assessing operating performance, trends, and key drivers impacting liquidity, valuation, and recoveries

  • Support out-of-court workouts, debt restructurings, Chapter 11 cases, and bankruptcy contingency planning

  • Perform financial due diligence and investigative analysis using incomplete, unorganized, or imperfect data

  • Assist with litigation support engagements, including expert analysis, report preparation, and testimony support

  • Synthesize complex financial findings into clear, defensible conclusions for clients, counsel, and other stakeholders

  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Mentor team members and review work product as appropriate

  • Contribute to special projects and firm initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred

  • CPA designation is a plus

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance, accounting, restructuring, valuation, investment banking, or litigation support

  • Prior exposure to restructurings, distressed situations, or complex disputes strongly preferred

Skills & Capabilities
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to connect business strategy, operations, and financial performance

  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including detailed projections and scenario analysis

  • Strong understanding of operational and financial performance drivers

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; strong PowerPoint skills required

  • Experience with Capital IQ (including the Excel plug-in) preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage competing priorities

  • Collaborative team player

Compensation
  • Base salary range: $150,000 – $175,000

  • Performance-based bonus

  • Compensation commensurate with experience and skill set

Additional Information
  • Local candidates (Orange County) preferred; remote arrangements considered for highly self-sufficient candidates

  • No relocation assistance provided

  • Firm culture is a priority— we value professionalism, accountability, intellectual rigor, and low-ego collaboration

Compensation & Benefits

The total rewards package at Current includes base salary and benefits.
Our salary ranges are competitive within the accounting industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.
We provide a robust benefits package, including:

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance (with options for fully paid employee only coverage for health and dental)

  • Company-Paid Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance

  • Ancillary Benefits such as supplemental life insurance and short-term disability options

  • Classic Safe Harbor 401(k) Plan with employer contributions

  • Opportunities for professional growth, learning, and development including access to Becker and LinkedIn Learning

Equal Opportunity

We are an equal opportunity employer, and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability, genetic information, or any other applicable legally protected characteristic.
